My friends and I are going to be in Cincinnati in a few months for my birthday. We are wanting to go to a fairly decent restaurant that is more upscale, but not too expensive. We are also wanting to go to some bars. What are some good social bars to go to? I am an experienced singer who loves to sing at piano bars with an "open mic" policy. By that, I mean those that allow singers to sing solo "on mic" to the accompaniment of the piano/keyboard player. I take "piano bar" vacations, so I’d be interested in these types of piano bars anywhere in the USA or Canada. I sing many different genres of songs: Blues, pop, country, jazz, Standards (big band and crooner era), Rock, Rock ballads, pretty ballads, show tunes, folk, etc.

In the 70′s and 80′s, there used to be some cool piano and organ bars around LA, but as the 90′s came in, out went many of the piano bars. Is there anywhere in LA, like hotel lounges, clubs or bars where there is currently a piano or organ bar to hear the ole standards?
