I’m planning on working in a piano bar and I already have some songs in mind. However, I’m stumped on material that will appeal to the public.
I have one piano, with vocals, and sometimes a harmonica. Any suggestions?
Quality and Quantity. I like both.

I’ve been 21 for a couple months and some friends are taking me to a piano bar. What kind of clothes should I wear? I want to wear jeans and a cute t-shirt, but is this too casual? FYI, I never wear heals or mini skirts so those are out of the question.

It’s my mom’s birthday tomorrow and I would like to take her to a great Piano Bar. As mentioned, it would be ideal if it also has good food and perhaps some form of coverage of the election. Thank you all.

I’m going to try playing piano at bars for extra money that I desperately need. Is there a website with standard repertoire or can anyone leave me songs they usually request at a Piano Bar? I know Piano Man, Benny and the Jets, Elton John, Billy Joel, Queen (Bohemian rhapsody), Thousand Miles… Please list off 5 or 6 you would expect any Piano bar player to know… thanks!

I am an experienced singer who loves to sing at piano bars with an "open mic" policy. By that, I mean those that allow singers to sing solo "on mic" to the accompaniment of the piano/keyboard player. I take "piano bar" vacations, so I’d be interested in these types of piano bars anywhere in the USA or Canada. I sing many different genres of songs: Blues, pop, country, jazz, Standards (big band and crooner era), Rock, Rock ballads, pretty ballads, show tunes, folk, etc.
In the upcoming 12 months, I’d especially like to know of open mic piano bars in:
Chicago
Seattle
Fort Lauderdale / Miami area
Thanks!

Hey there!
My friends and I are looking for a cool place to go in Chicago for New Year’s Eve. We want to get classy and go to a piano bar and sing, but we’ve been to Howl at the Moon and the Redhead in the past. Do you know of any other piano bars (or bars in general, maybe) that might be cool to be at on New Year’s Eve?
Thanks!

We love the piano sing a long type bars. We have been to The Redhead Piano Bar and Howl at the Moon in New Orleans and Chicago, and we are looking for something comparable to these locations. Any suggestions? Preferably on the Strip on Freemont St. Any other suggestions on unique clubs or bars to attend would be helpful too.
Thanks!

An OPEN MIC piano bar allows customer/singers to sing solo on microphone to the accompaniment of a professional piano or keyboard player.
