I listen to music i’ve downloaded to my hard drive from iTunes or other sources. When ever i play i track at some point the music slows down and it comes in and out then it goes back to normal play. My thought was it would have to do with memory but i’ve upgraded memory from 1g to 2g. This also happens to music over internet radio…at first i thougth i would have to do with my internet connection but it happens on music on my hardrive. Is there a seeting i need to change or something? its a pain, specially when you are listinging to a up beet song and all of asudden it slows down for a second or two.
I have a Dell Dimension dxp061 1.86 ghz core 2 duo.

Is there a way to compress my music somehow so it takes up less MegaBytes? I have a couple GBs of music and I know it’s slowing down my computer but I can’t bear to delete music that’s on my iTunes.

the music videos, even the one’s that i’ve purchased from iTunes, not to mention the ones from Limewire, are just a little bit a slow and aren’t matching up with the lips of the people singing.

Lately when I try to play music, either via Media Player, iTunes or yahoo messenger launchcast, during certain times the songs slow way down, repeat like they are skipping or stop for a bit. I have noticed that my computer fan is running all out it seems. I can’t seem to figure out how to fix the problem. I want to be able to listen to a whole song without it slowing down.
