Outstanding guitar player, Michael Hayes and friends shed their souls every Thursday night @ The Piano Bar in Hollywood. Chuck Berry, Hendrix and more… One of the dopest parties in Hollywood… Every Thursday @ 10pm / Piano Bar on Selma Ave
We have a limited selection of CD’s at work, because my boss is fairly picky about what we play for his patients. He’s fond of Enya, and slow classical music (more energetic pieces, like Bach’s Brandenburg irritate him). Can anyone give me some suggestions to broaden our selection? Any music similar to Enya?
Mr. Agustin E. Villarin aka “Russell” “The Pinoy Piano Man”, singing popular Piano Bar tunes for mostly American guest. As usual, the guest keeps on requesting the same tune everynight without fail, and they enjoyed it very much. Piano Bar in USA means it is a Sing-Along bar, where people can drink, smoke, and hang out and hang loose. Carnival Cruise line have the best “Fun Bars” in the world.
I have always been annoyed by this genre of music but I guess some people like this kind of music. What would be the age groups that have a preference for this sort of music? If there are any young people who like this sort of music(which I doubt), how would you describe them?
See Greg’s piano on fire at the King Size Pub in Lausanne Switzerland! See Greg Sampson playing a wide variety of venues around the world, including Bonfire Grill, Carnival Cruises, Royal Carribean, Holland America, and others.
This may sound dumb, but what exactly is "easy listening"? Any description you can give me would be great .. I’ve always been thinking about it, but never asked (until now, of course.)
If you could give me examples of what some easy listening songs would be that would be nice, but you don’t have to.
Thank you :]
Thank you to everyone (except those select few who commented on farting, and other rude things..lol)!
This helped a lot.
The new trailer for LAST CALL is here. The DOCUMENTARY about New York City’s PIANO BARS is coming soon. We’ve been editing away and thank everyone for their support and would love to hear from you–drop us a line!! Cast and Crew of LAST CALL
When I used to play at piano bars there would be occasional requests for a song where the person who requested the song did not know the title. Often the song was hard to figure out. I came up with this chord pattern which I played as a song when I became baffled, which was often. This is a chord pattern of C to B to C to A to D then G and back to C. The chorus is E to A to D to G. It often was identified as “Yep, that’s it.” I put words to the song when I performed it on the Gong Show as “A Brief Refrain.” Something to watch for in the video is the upper right end of the piano where some of the keys have been squished out. There are three black keys next to three black keys. The camera moved slightly when I did the second part of the clone video. I had to tweak it a lot to get it to have almost the same dimensions on the top and bottom. The lighting also was affected when the camera changed its position.
What are most names/titles for romantic music with only piano? i already know valse but then mine isn’t a valse. it modulates and stuff, and has is theme and variations. i don’t know what title i should give it. thanks!
